Known/used technique?[ 4 votes ]

Anyone more to share on the technique that is described in the following link?

http://www.didgethings.co.uk/techiniques/circularbreathing.h tm

When i use the technique in its purest form as described, it is possible to play with cheeks in and teeth together. Sounds like a coffee machine if you ask me.

I prefer to lower the jaw a little bit together with the lowering of the tongue base. Gives more air to play and its a bit more relaxed.

I'm curious if there's more info to share on this technique.
For example with what rhytms this technique is the most suitable to use.

Best regards,
Mike

Play on folks,

Mike

Definitely use it! It's a big component of the strong rhythmic techniques used in NE Arnhemland- strong tongued inflections followed by retroflexed 'dhirrls'.
