Name and Country Please tell us what you like and/or dislike about this didj Please comment on our service and workmanship Please name one important reason for you to be buying from us Any other reasons why you bought from us How does your new didjshop didj compare with your other didjes on price, sound quality and value
Mark from USA This is an amazing instrument, a work of high art from Mother Earth and Black Box who brought it to us. It is a little more difficult to play, but its highly rewarding. The sound is unreal! Although I had to pay more for shipping than expected, the whole team made the experience very nice. This is the nicest didge that I have ever seen and I will definitely buy another one Low Price My instincts My other instruments are PVC, so there really is no comparison. ap394 is in a whole other league
Robyn from Australia I love the shape and am very happy with the sound. I also love the painting of the Rainbow Serpent on it I found the service to be very prompt and it fulfilled my needs. I think the workmanship is superb. I would recommend the Didjshop to anyone wishing to buy a quality didge. Workmanship I liked the information on the site relating to the didge and how its made etc Sound is much better. The other one is bamboo and was a gift
Gordon from Australia Very disappointed. I had bought my first didgeridoo from you, ( Peckham family), and thought I would try for something a bit up the scale so as to speak See below for detailed explanation. There was an obvious failing ing your quality control with this item Low Price Was reasonably cheap although delivery charge was excessive compared to a 1.7 metre didge I recently purchased from your part of the world which was similarly priced and included postage by Auspost I think. Poorly. Could not get a decent sound. Thought there might be a leak and then found a 10mm steel ball wouldn't pass through because a 167mm x 30mm x 7mm offcut was securely glued half way down the bore. difficult to see because of the shape of the bore
Matthew from Australia Amazing back pressure and sound. Great for learning Everything was amazing from ordering to the final product quality Workmanship Seemed the best option for online buying while maintaining and good price
Thomas from France I gave this didjeridoo to my 9-year-old son... his first real didjeridoo and he's very happy with it. I was also able to test it out, and it's exactly as described on the didjshop website. Good sound, easy to vibrate, and very pretty. It arrived well packed, with no problems. It took a few days longer than fedex said it would, but it was Christmas time. Many parcels were transiting through China. Very good contact with the Didjshop team, especially Shiralee. My son is happy and progressing even faster. Thanks for everything! Workmanship I bought my first real didjeridoo in 2004 or 2005 from Didjshop and it was already as described. The didjshop ones are better than the ones that aren't dug up by termites.
Thomas from France I bought this didjeridoo to complement another didjeridoo I was giving to my son, and other didjeridoo I've already bought from Didjshop. I'm very happy with the way it looks and sounds. Concert class, true to the description. Good sound, good vocals, and can be played both slow and fast. A very good rendering! It arrived well packed, with no problems. It took a few days longer than fedex said it would, but it was Christmas time. Many parcels were transiting through China. Very good contact with the Didjshop team, especially with Shiralee, who took the time to help me with my e-mail address problems. Thanks for everything! Reliably graded I bought my first real didjeridoo in 2004 or 2005 from Didjshop and it was already as described. The didjshop ones are better than the ones that aren't dug up by termites.
Anonymous from USA It exceeded all my expectations! Unbelievably fast shipping (one week) considering coming from Australia to United States. Arrived in plenty time for Christmas. Reliable Trustworthy Business Best website. I liked your rating system. Excellent
Robert from USA At first I disliked how heavy it was but I am getting used to it. I really like that it isn't so straight that it could have come off a lathe. Instead it is twisted and bent with a nice knot in the middle. The artwork is superb. Fedex destroyed the box, like they attempted to bend it in half. The bubble wrap job under the box saved the didj! Business Ethics This wasn't amazon. The website is a destination and I appreciate all the work that went into it. I learned a lot browsing. The shipping was expensive. I would have preferred nearly correct shipping and almost didn't buy when presented with a 50% hike in shipping. Ap623 is way above my skillset. I have not earned such an instrument so I will carry on, enjoy, and pass it on.
John from USA Love the design and high quality Every question was answered in a timely manner and everyone was very patient with me Business Ethics Great reviews
Michael from USA It sounds good already with my beginner-level skill and I think the quality of the didge will allow me to progress quicker There were shipping issues beyond anyone's control (FedEx cost and a typhoon), and the service through it all was extremely good. Sound Quality Recommended by acoustics experts at the University of NSW I don't have anything to compare
Joseph from USA This is beautiful instrument. It sounds amazing and is accurately graded. As always you have taken care of me exceptionally well! Workmanship You are the best!!! Equal to all my Didje Shop Ch didges. Performs as graded.
Anonymously I love the critter pathways bored out around the edges of the wood. It's a beautiful reminder of our connection to Earth and source. It plays beautifully and effortlessly, and the tonality is so rich. It was love at first sight, and then I experienced it all over again with the first breath. This is by far my favorite didge. Lovely, as always!:) Workmanship Trust & reliability The sound quality is comparable to ap169, but I feel the back pressure is a little higher, which I appreciate. The price and value are also comparable. I have another cut/split didgeridoo in the key of C that is valued around $500 USD. It's a nice instrument, but the vocals "catch" and "wobble" in ways I don't appreciate, so I wanted to replace it with one of yours. Vocals in this one and ap169 are smooth and always sound nice.
Keith Marcoux from USA The curved shapes on this didj are far from subtle. The painted fish artwork is fantastic. And the resonance is the best of all my didj’s thus far. Technical questions are answered promptly by Shiralee. Workmanship could not be any more thorough. Workmanship Authentically Aborigines made. It was a bargain for the quality of appearance and sound.
Nicholas from USA Sounds fantastic and is quite easy to play. I can tell you honor craftsmanship with your product. This was made with love and honor. Workmanship I've purchased several didges from you many years ago and was very happy to see you still doing business. Parallel comparison. It even distinctly resembles another one I bought 15+ years ago.
Fasih Hameed from USA So heavy and deep. Feels earthy. Really love the personalized email I got wit didj options. Payment was a little weird and complicated, but we worked it out. Would be nice to have something simple like paypal or apple pay to make it easier. Sound Quality Fair trade, support aboriginals, respect! N/a
Gert Kremer from Netherlands I love all the characteristics of this didj! I am a beginner when it comes to didjeridu; I started like many people with an teak-under-hundred-dollars-including-online course. I blew that one up within 2 weeks (curled woodflakes came loose and the sound dramatically dropped in quality. The ap495 however ticks all the boxes and is exactly according how you rated it: excellent. As a beginner I had some difficulty with maintain backpressure (you rated is as: very good) and I started to tweak the mouthpiece but I learned that is was my unexperience what was the cause. Now, after practising a few weeks now, the didje taught me how it loves to be handled. And I follow. Let me put it this way. I am so convinced about the quality of what you deliver, that I am looking already for other key tones didj in your shop. The didj is prepared in a way I have great confidence in very long lasting pleasue playing it. Workmanship Intuïtion:-) And I really wanted it to be authentic Australian / Aboriginal. My first teak didj is crap. My ap495 is so amazing that I am spoiled now I am afraid;-)
Brian from USA I liked that the instrument was packaged very well and that it came with the mouthpiece already setup. I would have liked more photo angles in the product description but am happy with my purchase. From start to finish, I was satisfied with the communication and the verification question follow up to ensure that I was a legitimate buyer and the shipping was faster than expected. The workmanship was exceptional and am happy with everything. Workmanship After doing some searches online, all I heard were good things regarding your company and its reliability. That reassured me and made me comfortable with purchasing with you and not feeling like it may be a scam site. Sound and quality exceed what I own
Anonymous from Finland It's gorgeous. It's my first didj and I'm just starting to play. Took me only a couple of minutes to get the right sound You were working hard to find the best way to ship it to me and everything worked out so well. Excellent service! Workmanship Your instruments were more interesting than those I found in other shops
Anonymously Loved the art of the kangaroo, the resonant tone it produces! Wonderfully crafted and excellently applied beeswax mouthpiece Business Ethics Support aboriginal artists and Craftsmanship
Ant from Australia I really like the sound when I get it right. Biggest problem is my other didge now sounds bad. All good Business Ethics No Much more expensive, superior sound quality
