Finishing the inside - yes or no [message #527]

My dij is unfinished on the inside. I've looked around on the web and have found various opinions about this. One is to leave it alone, let it dry, clean it every so often (2 oz Tea Tree Oil mixed with 2 cups of water as a rinse). Another opinion is to wait util it is completely dry and then pour varnish inside and slosh it around.

Anyone got an opinion one way or another?
