By writing this, I hope I am not offending/upsetting anyone, if I am, then please accept my appologies.
While browsing the web for various didj/Aboriginal sites, I have noticed that certain well known Aboriginal people have had their names purposely spelled wrong or with symbols replacing some of the letters in their names. Can someone explain to me why this is done and what happened to these people to warrant it. If you don't want to post the answer here you could send an email to
daz.clark(at)blueyonder.co.uk
thanks in advance
