We weren't aware of this issue until now. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Looks like that the release version that we used for the forum had a bug in the code that sanitised the logins (didn't handle some Unicode characters properly).

We have applied a patch and it appears that the login registration is working properly now.

Unfortunately, the forum software doesn't allow a user to change the login.
